Montserrat Vega was born in Mexico and soon discovered a passion for art and design.
Directing her studies to fashion, with a degree from Istituto Marangoni Paris in Fashion Design, and a masters in Accessory Design at Istituto Europeo de Design Madrid.
She has held several job positions in big luxury houses in Europe including Christian Dior, Alexander Wang, and Elie Saab. She is currently Creative Director and head designer of the Mexican footwear brand: Regina Romero.
Montserrat developed her own particular aesthetic: one that merged both art and utility, that resulted in unique sculptural-wearable pieces with a shared narrative and inspiration from contemporary art as well as different science scopes. Each project and collection has a thorough investigation on a main inspiration, often seeking conceptual interpretations and design solutions.
